  • This is a brilliant resource and I have used most of it but don't understand what the children are expected to do to map a habitat? Could you explain. I've searched for an example but can't see one.

    • Hi sweeney1952,
Thanks for commenting and I'm very sorry for any confusion caused by this activity.
The map a habitat activity requires the children to draw one of the local habitats including the plants, trees and animal homes found there and then add labels to each of these. As the activity is differentiated, the children will be required to include different elements on their habitat maps
I hope this helps but please let me know if I can help you further

      Have a lovely evening! :)

  • My year 2 class love this unit and the resources to go with it! However one of them has just spotted on the desert word search that scorpion has been spelt 'scorpian' with 'camel' going through the incorrect 'a'. Wolf is also missing from the arctic word search. Minor things but wanted to let you know! Thanks.

  • This is a great resource that I am currently using in my Year 2 class.

However, the woodland habitat wordsearch already has the answers crossed out

    • Hi there,

      Thanks for your comment!

I've taken a look at both versions of the wordsearch (colour and black & white) and both seem to include the blank wordsearch for children to complete and an answer version too.

Could you try to download the file again, take another look and let me know if you're still having difficulties?

      Have a lovely day! :)

  • Great resource. The children are really enjoying it!

The Woodland Habitat word search already has the answers crossed out.
