  • Hi, could you please let me know if the link to plastic bottles has been sorted yet?  Was hoping to use this resource tomorrow.  Have downloaded ppt again but it still doesn't support the independent activity in demonstrating how plastic is recycled.  If it's a link to an external site, could you please upload this.  Want to make sure I'm sharing the correct one.  Thanks.

  • Hi... there doesn't seem to be any part of this resource that supports the children's understanding of how plastic bottles are recycled meaning that the activity will have to be teacher led. It seems that the update has just taken the slide out with the link to the video about the waste sorting plant.

  • Agree with others. A disappointing resource with a presentation that doesn't match the content of the activities. Love Twinkl but this resources isn't up to your usually high standard.

  • We love all the other Year 2 PlanIt lessons in this series but have been really disappointed with this particular one. The video didn't work but if you go to 'open hyperlink' you can copy and paste the Youtube link into your browser. However, the video provided is too fast and doesn't contain the same information as the activity that the children then do. While some inference skills are a good challenge, we felt this was too hard especially given our cohort - many learners who have English as their second language. If the video was slower, and the pictures matched the content better, this would be a super lesson.

As a further point of feedback, we would love it if the children were not able to see the star value in the corner - I love the differentiated resources (and usually they are spot on) but they have realised what the stars mean and for the support group, this sometimes means they feel dispirited. Thank you!

    • Hi rachwhite,

Thank you for your comment on the Twinkl website.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with the video link. Before I ask our technical team about this for you, I was wondering if you could provide a few more details about what happens when you click the link? On my PC it asks if I want to proceed and then works when I click 'yes'. Is this something you could try?

If you are still having problems, please also let us know whether you are on a PC/laptop or tablet and which operating system you are using. These can sometimes affect the smooth running of certain resources.

      I hope you have a lovely day! : )
