  • Great resource but on the 'Adding Commas Activity Sheet', the final one on both sheets is wrong. You have said 'He was cold without his jacket potatoes would warm him up though' would need a comma after jacket. However, as the next part of the sentence is a main clause, it would actually need to be a full stop or semicolon, not a comma.

  • There is an exclamation mark instead of a comma on one slide 6 and the word calusentence. I don't think that's a word. Could be wrong.

      In terms of the word calusentence, I have taken a look through all of the resources in the pack and have not been able to find it. It may be that it has already been corrected so could you please download the resource again to ensure you have the most unto date version. If the error is still there could you please let me know which resource it's on so I can get this updated for you right away.

  • On the resource 'Activity Sheet Adding Commas' the sentence 'David who was 10, wore glasses' will need another comma after 'David' for it to include an embedded clause as stated in the explanation box.

  • Super resource but a comma is incorrectly positioned in the direct speech example as it should be inside of the speech marks.

In this lesson children learn how commas can clarify the meaning in ambiguous sentences. The lesson pack contains a lesson plan, lesson presentation and accompanying activity sheets to scaffold children's learning. The lesson pack also includes an additional consolidation activity and an application/assessment activity to secure the children's learning.
