  • This resource is excellent. I've just read through the whole unit and there is so much learning. Not just knowledge but really good skills based stuff. I love the engaging and fun starter activities too. Thank you so much. I feel excited about teaching AE again! I'm bored and tired of using the same home made resources!!

    • Hi there,
The video in this resource is taken from the BBC Bitesize website will may not be available outside of the UK. Our lovely resource creation team will look into sourcing an alternative video in the future, but in the meantime you could skip the video element and use it as an opportunity for further research with your class. I hope this helps!

  • Hi there. On slide four it says -
"Sort these items into ‘ancient’ and ‘modern’: put the nouns that name something very ancient right in the middle of the target, with the ancient items towards the outside."
I think it is supposed to say place the modern items on the outside. Many thanks.

  • Hello I have just downloaded, powerpoint of Ancient Egypt Lesson1, Planit package.
On the bulls eye target, you have incorrectly spelt the name of the inventor of television. His name was John Logie Baird, not John Logie Bird.. Also you have him inventing the television ten years before he was born. He was born in 1888, you say TV was invented by him in 1878.
The first working TV was demonstrated in1926.
