This is the third in a series of six lessons looking at using charts, tables and graphs with different scales to present and interpret data. In this lesson, children learn to use one symbol on a pictogram to represent five objects, and how part symbols can represent other amounts. They will create tally charts showing the colours of cars in a car park, then use this data to create their own pictograms.
