  • Hi, this resource is great but just one point I would like to make. On slide 7 it says that: It is perfectly fine to eat a little bit
    of unhealthy
    food but
eating too much unhealthy food could make us overweight and not feel great.Personally I wouldn't refer to us eating unhealthy food, I would much rather say (And I do say) to children that there are no unhealthy foods, only unhealthy amounts of eating. Thanks

    • Hi there,
Our lovely EYFS team have had a look at this resource and as the PowerPoint is aimed at young childern, we have decided to keep the concepts as simple as possible, and have used the terms 'healthy' and 'unhealthy' to create a clear distinction. The PowerPoint is also editable if you would like to adapt the language to better suit your setting. I hope this helps!

This fab powerpoint presentation is great for supporting your teaching on healthy eating and healthy living, and for raising awareness in your children about the importance of keeping healthy. It features the key ways to maintain health, prompt questions for encouraging discussion or independent writing, different ways to keep active, along with some general suggestions about what are healthy and unhealthy foods to help your children differentiate.
