  • This version (Ver2) still suffers from incorrect numbering/wording of questions - specifically both Q2 and Q3 on both sheets are wrong.I think it would also be an improvement if Q3 provided full bar models to be filled in (like Q2 does), even if only on the 2-star and 1-star sheets.

  • Hi. Are you planning on doing any bar model resources aimed at Y5/6? Many of the SATs questions last year were bar model friendly - it would be really useful to give the children more opportunity to develop the tool. Thanks!

  • A great resource - agree with previous comments though that some of the questions need to numbered correctly, and also that it would be great if there was a top bar with the whole amount rather than a swirly bracket thing. Would really appreciate updated version if you are able to make it - thank you!

    • Hi louisecavey,
Thank you for your fantastic suggestion! Because we receive so many lovely requests each day, we are unfortunately unable to make all of the resources requested (although we do our best!) If we can make your resource we will be in touch to let you know, though we cannot guarantee when it will be completed. If there is anything else I can help with, please let me know! Have a great day :)

  • Worked well with my Yr 3/4 mixed class, but there are some issues with the question numbering and the answer sheets. Would be great if you could look at and sort

    • Hi MissMorris3M,

Thank you for your comment on the Twinkl website.

I can certainly ask our resource team if this is something we can produce for you. Do you require them for year 3? In terms of word problems, what area of maths would you like word problems for(addition, subtraction etc)?

      I hope you have a lovely day! : )

  • Almost suitable thank you. Would be nice to have a top bar, with the total, and then the bottom bar.

A set of practise sheets to help children use bar models within addition & subtraction calculations and word problems. They will help children to visualise the concepts of addition, subtraction and using the inverse operation to solve missing number problems.
