How does this resource excite and engage children's learning?

This lovely visual aid wheel looks at the different phases of the moon. Simply cut out the two circles and pin them together. You can then rotate the wheel to see the different numbered phases.

This is a brilliant resource - easy to make and then for students to use at home and discuss what they have learned.
We cut ours out, then laminated the wheels - they look fantastic!
    thank you!

We have used this resource to help the children develop their understanding of the night sky linking to Curriculum for Excellence. Children initially had to draw what the moon looked like each evening over a week. Some children (and their parents) had difficulty recording this so we have used this resource as an extra reinforcement.

Would it be possible to have a blank version of the spinner to challenge more able learners to draw the moon phases themselves? Thanks
